Basmath

Bas'math (Heb. Basmath', בִּשּׂמִת, fragrant), the name of two women.

1. (Sept. Βασεμάθ.) One of the wives of Esau (Ge 26:34; Ge 36:3-4,10,13, "BASHEMATH").

2. (Sept. Βασεμμάθ) A daughter of Solomon, and wife of Ahimaaz, the viceroy in Naphtali (1Ki 4:15). B.C. post 1014.
