Barratt, George M

Barratt, George M., a Methodist minister, was born in Shropshire, England, in.1811. He united with the Church at seventeen, was accepted by the Wesleyan Missionary Committee, and in 1837 was sent to New Brunswick. He preached at various points in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia; became a supernumerary in 1873, after forty-two years' toil; settled at Carleton, N. B., and died there Aug. 14, 1878. His zeal and faithfulness won many to Christ. See The Wesleyan, Sept. 1878.
