Barr, Joseph W.

a Presbyterian minister, was born in Liberty township, Trumbull Co., O., July 22, 1802. He was converted in 1823. He graduated at Western Reserve College at Hudson, O., in 1830, and studied theology in Princeton Seminary, N. J. In 1832 he was ordained by the Philadelphia Presbytery, and expected to sail immediately to the foreign mission-field; but before the vessel started he was attacked with cholera, and died near Petersburgh, Va., Oct. 25, 1832.
