Barbier, Josue

Barbier, Josue a French pervert, was born at Die about 1578. He was pastor of the Protestant congregations at Quint, St. Marcellin, and Livron (1603-1615) but was bribed by the bishop of Valence to turn Romanist, and after entering the royal service as advocate at Grenoble, wrote several abusive books against his former co-religionists, for which see Lichtenberger, Encyclop. des Sciences Religieuses, s.v.
