Bandaya

Bandaya (Sanscr. a person entitled to reverence), the name given to the priests of Nepaul. They are divided in that country into four orders: bhikshu, of mendicants; srawaka, or readers; chailaka, or scantily robed; and arhaute or arhata, adepts.
