Baldwin, Ebenezer

Baldwin, Ebenezer a Congregational minister, was born at Norwich, Conn., July 3,1745. He graduated at Yale in 1763, and became tutor there in 1766. In 1770 he was ordained minister of the first Cong, church in Danbury. In the Revolution he was an ardent Whig, and, as chaplain in the army, contracted the disease of which he died, Oct. 1, 1776. — Sprague, Annals, 1:645.
