Baker, Thomas (3)

Baker, Thomas (3), a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Monongalia County, Va., Dec. 6, 1808. He experienced conversion in 1828; received license to preach in 1832; and in 1833 was admitted into the Pittsburgh Conference, and in its active ranks served the Church until his death, April 4, 1845. Mr. Baker was a man of great meekness and deep piety. He was a plain, practical, instructive preacher. See Minutes of Annual Conf., 1845, p. 620.
