Bahnsen, Benedict

Bahnsen, Benedict, a Dutch theologian, was a native of Eiderstedt, in Holstein, and lived in the latter half of the 17th century. He first engaged in the occupation of book- keeper at Amsterdam. He published several Mystic works under his own name, of which the true authors were Joachim Belkius, Julius Superbius, and Gottfried Furchenichts. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
