Bagoses (Βαγώσης), the general of Artaxerxes (probably Mnemon; the text, as emended by Hudson, has τοῦ ἄλλου Α᾿ρταξέρξου v. r. τοῦ ῎Αχου Α᾿ρτ.); he sacrilegiously entered the Temple at Jerusalem, and imposed oppressive taxes upon the Jews (Josephus, Ant. 11:7,1).
