Ayres, Hiram M.

a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Pennsylvania in 1840. He experienced religion at the age of seventeen; graduated at the Illinois Wesleyan University in 1863, and in the same year united with the Central Illinois Conference. He died Aug. 4,1870. Mr. Ayres was an earnest, faithful, successful preacher and pastor. His life was a beautiful representation of the highest development of the Christian graces.
