Austri

Austri in Norse mythology. The cosmogony of the Scandinavians teaches that the visible firmament of the sky is nothing but the skull of the giant Ymir, which the sons of Bor- Odin Villi, and Ve placed there after they had slain the giant. They lifted this heaven with four corners above the earth, and on each corner placed one dwarf; Austri, Sudri, Westri, Nordri (East, South, West, North).
