Augustine (3)

Augustine, a French martyr, was taken and examined at Bergues, in Hainault, and condemned to be burned at Belmont. Being tied to the stake, which was set on fire, he prayed heartily unto the Lord, and thus expired in 1549. See Fox, Acts and Monuments, 4:391.
