Auburn Declaration

Auburn Declaration a popular designation of the "Esscinding Act," passed in that city (N.Y.) against the churches in the western part of the state as non-Presbyterian, for failing to come up to the higher Calvinistic theology assumed in the document. It has been practically a dead-letter. For its text, see Schaff, Creeds of Christendom, 2:777.
