Atwater, Jason

Atwater, Jason, a Congregational minister, was born in Mount Carmel Society, Hamden, Conn. He studied theology in the seminary of Yale College, and was ordained as pastor in Middlebury, Conn., Oct. 20, 1830. In October, 1845, he was dismissed from this charge. After this, he resided for several years in Newtown and Southbury; Conn., preaching to the Congregational churches in those towns. The latter days or his life were spent in West Haven, in the town of Orange, Con. He died April 1, 1860. See Obituary Record of, Yale. College, 1860.
