Asaphs, St

Asaph's, St., a bishop's see in Flintshire, Wales, founded in the 6th century. The chapter consists of a dean, precentor, chancellor, treasurer, three canons, two archdeacons, seven cursal canons, and two minor canons. The present incumbent is Thomas Vowler Short, D.D., transferred from Sodor and Man in 1846.
