Ardente, Alessandro

Ardente, Alessandro a Piedmontese painter who flourished from .1565 to 1592. There is a picture of the Conversion of St. Paul by him, at Turin, in the Monte della Pieta, which is considered a grand piece of painting. Ardente was painter to the Court of France, and died at Paris in 1575.
