Ange, De Sainte-joseph

Ange, De Sainte-Joseph, a Barefooted Carmelite of Toulouse, whose real name was La Brosse, lived in Persia, and was an apostolic missionary; he was also provincial of his order in Languedoc. He died at Perpignan in 1697. The following are some of his works: Gazophylacium Linguce Persarum (Amst. 1684, fol.): — Castigatio in Angelum a S. Joseph, alias dictum de la Brosse. His reputation as a Persian scholar was great in his own country.
