Anabata

Anabata a term for a hooded cope usually worn in out-door processions, frequently larger and longer than the closed cope. Anciently the hood was one that could actually be drawn over the head for use, and not the mere flat, ornamental appendage found in the ordinary cope. It is no longer in use in the English Church.
