Amaral, Prudentius De

Amaral, Prudentius De, a Portuguese, was born in Brazil, 1675, and entered the Company of Jespits, July 30, 1690. He died of dropsy, in the college at Rio Janeiro, March 27, 1715, leaving two works: Os Feitos dos Bispos e Arcebispos da Bahia, which contains a history of the bishops and archbishops of the diocese of San Salvador (Lisbon, 1710): — a Book of Elegies in Praise of the Blessed Virgin, in MS.
