Alvan

Al'van (Hebrew Alvan', עִלוָן, tall; Sept. Γωλάμ), the first named of the five sons of Shobal the Horite, of Mount Seir (Ge 36:23); called less correctly ALIAN SEE ALIAN (Hebrew Alyane', עִליָן, Sept. Ι᾿ωλάμ) in the parallel passage (1Ch 1:40). B.C. cir. 1927.
