Aliamet, Francois Germain

Aliamet, Francois Germain, a French portrait and historical engraver, was born in 1734. He studied in Paris, and afterwards went to London, and was for some time under Sir Robert Strange. His works are said to be fine, but they do not equal those of his brother Jacques. A few of the principal ones. are, the Adoration of the Shepherds, after Caracci: — the Circumcision, after Guido: — and the Stoning of St. Stephen, after Le Sueur.
