Alea

Alea, in Greek mythology, was a surname of Minerva at Tegea, in Arcadia, after Aleus, son of king Aphidas of Arcadia, who built the temple of Minerva at Tegea;. When this temple was destroyed by fire, it was rebuilt in a much more beautiful style by Scopas, one of the most famous architects of Greece. Pausanias relates that the statue of the goddess was so exquisitely beautiful that Augustus had it conveyed to Rome.
