Albanus, Heinrich Friedrich

Albanus, Heinrich Friedrich, a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born Jan. 6, 1694, at Eisleben. He studied at Leipsic and Wittenberg, was in 1719 called to the pastorate at Zscheplin, in Saxony, and died Feb. 10, 1754. He wrote, Disputatio Philolog. de Emphasi Verbi Psalmo 51, 9 (Lips. 1712): — Dissertatib de ἀνθρωπίνῃ ἡμέρᾷ Cor. iv, 3 (ibid.): — Dissertatio Epistolica de Quibusdan Vindemice Antiquitatibus 'aptd Romanos (ibid. 1712): — Comment. Philolog, Omnis homi Mendax ad Ps 116:11 et Ro 4:4 (Dresden, 1717). He also published some sermons, for which see Jocher, Allgemeines Gelehrten-Lexikon, s.v. (B. P.)
