Adderbourn, Council Of Or Near

(Concilium Adderburnense), was held in a place of that name, near the river Nadder (or Nodder), in Wiltshire, England, in 705. The council was composed of English abbots and bishops, and confirmed a grant of free election of their abbot to the abbeys of Malmesbury, Frome, and Bradford, which grant had been. made by bishop Aldhelm.
